How to Relieve Soreness & Muscle Pain After Yoga

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual discipline that incorporates elements of meditation, conscious breathing, and deep stretches into a variety of controlled movements or poses. The ancient practice originated in India around 3000 BC as a means to achieve harmony between heart and soul as the practitioner moved along the path of spiritual enlightenment. Somewhere along the journey, yoga was also discovered to be beneficial to one’s overall health. Today, there are many schools of yoga and teaching. While yoga is a low-impact form of exercise, its deep stretches can make you aware of muscles you didn’t know you had.
